About our Operations

Get to know us

Our efforts are particularly directed towards the protection of women
and children experiencing domestic violence and bride pricerelated violations through
community based approaches and by initiating developmental projects to empower them (Women and Children).

Education has made our empowerment program a success since almost all women can create awareness about the fight against DV and can recognize the importance of health care & know how to seek it for themselves & their children.

We fight to stop a traditional culture of treating women as inferior to men, both within the home and by society-at-large. This has improved the self-esteem and their ability to reach their full potential as human beings.

We help women who still face obstacles when trying to establish new businesses or expand existing ones. Among the biggest roles we play are enabling them, protecting their access to property rights, finance, training, markets, mentors and networks.

17,230 DV Cases

NANTACHA has received and handled over 17,000 Domestic Violence & Child Abuse related cases since 2013. Most of which settled through dialogue and in courts of law respectively.

232 Parishes

    Those amazing people...

‘NANTACHA in emergencies has provided urgent relief to communities threatened by disrupted water supplies. We therefore support UNICEF WASH programmes that were designed to contribute to the Millennium Development Goal for water and sanitation. The goal to have by 2015, the biggest number of population with sustainable access to safe water to have been achieved globally.”

    So much to do...

‘But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the system, and expound the actual teachings of the great explorer of the truth, the master-builder of human happiness. No one rejects, dislikes, or avoids pleasure itself, because it is pleasure, but because those who do not know how to pursue pleasure rationally encounter consequences that are extremely painful.”

    Help is needed...

‘Children most particularly the girls have been denied their right to education because their schools lack private and decent sanitation facilities. Women are forced to spend large parts of their day fetching water. Poor farmers and wage earners are less productive due to illness, health systems are overwhelmed and national economies suffer. Without water, sanitation and hygiene then it is impossible to achieve a sustainable education or development.”
